Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox was able to survive on an allowance for students working part-time in order to help supplement her income. Lennox as she was studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied with her performance in comparison to her peers. She began considering alternatives. Lennox started out as an instrument player within the band Dragons Playground. However, she left prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. She was the lead singer to The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. In this band, she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created their duo Eurythmics. After that, Lennox began to work on her first solo album Diva which was released in 1992. The album received a lot of praise both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in November 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. Her first solo album, which was released in conjunction with her work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art with the title "Now I Let You go." Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists gained some minor recognition for her and Dave Stewart's work throughout the 1970s. The group went on in the 1980s, to be the cult duo Eurythmics. Lennox started her own solo music career in 1992, by releasing an album titled Diva.
