Anita Barone

Anita Barone, a stage actress with a wide range of skills who is mostly associated with sitcoms in TV and got the most coveted opportunity to shine as the wife of Jeff Foxworthy on the ABC show "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" which aired on the network for one season, from 1995 to. Barone appeared on the stage for the first time at age five in Detroit after her family relocated from St Louis. By the time she turned 23, Barone had already appeared in more than 50 plays. Most of them were at regional or university theaters. She played Juliet as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Helen Keller in a re-imagining of "Monday After the Miracle" as well as the character of Agnes the young, gruesome Nun in "Agnes of God." Her debut on screen was a part-time role in "The Rozary Murders" and a brief appearance in "Ricochet" as well as she played the lead role in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" in 1996. Barone was commissioned by NBC in 1990-1991 as a shareholder for "Carol & Company" which was the disastrous project by Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety show. Barone was for the first time in "Wounded Heart" the 1995 USA Network film. Her return to sitcoms on the weekly air as a co-star on "Daddio", NBC 2000 and co-starring with Michael Chiklis.
